b. Protected Forest Riam Kanan ± 55,000 ha area (Decree of the Minister of Agriculture, No.10/Kpts/Um/1/1975, dated January 8, 1975).
c. Wildlife "Pelaihari-Martapura" ± 36,400 ha area (Decree of the Minister of Agriculture, No.65/Kpts/Um/2/1974, dated 13 February 1974 & No.765/Kpts/Um/10/1980, dated October 23 1980).
d. Forest Education from the University Lambung Mangkurat ± 2000 ha area (Decree of Governor of South Kalimantan, No.DA.144/PHT/1980, dated December 31, 1980).

Integrating the fourth region, then in 2008 formed UPTD Forestry Service of South Kalimantan province on the basis of law No. 6 of 2008, the Regional Equipment SOTK Province Pergub South Kalimantan and South Kalimantan No.8 of 2008, about creating Tahura Sultan Adam.

Existence Tahura Sultan Adam:
1) Geographically located between 114º5’- 115º10' East-longitude and 3º2'-3º45' latitude-South. The administrative district covers an area of Banjar and Tanah Laut District. Tahura Sultan Adam located in Banjar District 2 District and includes 38 villages, while in Tanah Laut district covers 3 districts and 8 villages.
2) Field configuration between the flat, hilly and mountainous (cover 26 mountain / mountains) with a height between 100 to 1800 meters above sea level.
3) Climate classification Schmidt and Ferguson including type B climate with rainfall average 2500 to 4500 mm/year air temperature ranges from 25 to 33ºC.

Natural Tourism Object
1). Potential biotic; For a variety of natural attractions such as:
a. Flora : The state of flora in the area of Tahura Sultan Adam dominated by species of Dipterocarpaceae family tree species is generally angih (Shorea kunstleri), hirang damar (Shorea polyandra), angih gudai (Shorea sp. 1), yellow resin (Shorea sp. 6.), KERUING (Dipeterocarpus spp. 2). Moreover, it can also be found binghut, medang, sulangai, ruhut and Cempedak. A small portion of forest plant species to plant fast growing Excotic (Eucalyptus, spp., Albazia falcataria).
b. Fauna: Fauna in the area of Tahura Sultan Adam include bear (Helarctos malayanus), gibbons (Hylobates muelleri), sambar deer (Cervus unicolor), barking deer (Muntiacus muntjak), deer / Lemur (Tragulus javanicus / T. Napu), leaf monkey (Presbytis cristata). This area is also a cruising area for deer hilalang / yellow deer (Muntiacus antherodes) based on the evidence of specimens that have been obtained and the information society Dayak tribes. This area also has a diversity of bird species including hornbills (Buceros rhinoceros), Alak-Alak (Anthracoceros malayanus), bainah (comatus and Berenicornis Anthracoceros comatus) and tonghulu (Rhinoplax Virgil).

Accessibility
Mileage from the region Banjarbaru City to Tahura Sultan Adam ± 15 km. Location can be achieved by private vehicle or angkot (route Martapura-Mandiangin).
